The best way to illustrate this issue is to make a comparative analysis of financial indicators for 2008, the year when the global financial sector was the hardest hit, and performance in 2009 when the economy started to turn around (mainly due to steps taken by governments to prop up the financial sector). There are various types of the socalled Halal investment funds. They differ in terms of investment strategies, types of assets and many other characteristics.
