Abstract
The article deals with the Islamic education in Russia 100 years ago. It represents the level of knowledge, giving in Islamic schools (madrasas and maktabs), the problems occurred from the point of view of tatar muslim activist, intellectual and editor Abdurrasid Ibrahim.
