The comparative analysis of the English and Turkish color idioms

Abstract
The article deals with the results of the analysis of color idioms in the English and Turkish languages. Color is one of the means of the perception of the world, expression of our attitude towards other people and reflection of selfconsciousness of a nation. In the English and Turkish linguistic worldviews, “color” components are used in a wide range of idioms and each color introduces a particular meaning.
